Soundseeing Mobile Recording Setup

I got some questions about the mobile recoding setup that I used in my soundseeing tour of OfficeDepot (which Adam Curry was kind enough to mention on the Daily Source Code).

First of all, the microphone I was using is an Aiwa stereo lavaliere mic which plugs into the 1/8" jack on my iPod. I actually got this mic with the Aiwa JS147 Stereo Radio Cassette Recorder which, as far as I can find, is no longer sold. I don't know the model number of the mic itself and was not able to find it through Google. If anybody knows what it is, please post a comment or send me an email.

As I said, I had the mic plugged directly into what would normally be the headphone jack of my iPod and I was running Podzilla to record at 96kHz. I had the mic clipped to my collar so the cord ran down into my pocket and hopefully looked like a handsfree headset for a cellphone that was currently disconnected because I was instead holding the phone in my hand.
