Quad-Core Processors by 2007

amdchipAMD has announced plans for quad-core processors to be implemented in personal computers by 2007. The company also has plans for chips with up to 16 cores in the future. AMD says its new processors will make the most out of 64-bit technology, and eventually even be able to smoothly run multiple operating systems simultaneously.
